This linocut pays homage to French artist Robert Delaunay of the School of Paris at the beginning of the 20th Century. He and his wife Sonia Delaunay were co-founders of the Oprhism movement which focused on strong colors and geographic shapes. His theories of color and the perception of colored light have influenced numerous artists in his wake.

The setting is the Paris Musée d'Art Moderne where the works can be seen in person.

To make my art prints, my original sketch is transfered onto a block of lino which I cut out with special gouges. I hand pull my art prints on a press, one at a time.

Each linocut is a unique and original piece of art. After pulling the print on my press, I hand paint in oils and watercolor. Slight differences in each print are inherent in the process.

This hand-painted edition is limited to 20 prints.

The print is sold unmounted and unframed but is shown here in a standard 50 cm x 70 cm frame.
