This linocut, in four plates, is a celebration of the Molitor pool in the chic 16th arrondissement of Paris. Nicknamed the "white cruise ship" with its round porthole windows, the building complex which dates back to 1929 is the archetype of art deco architecture. After falling into disrepair and its closure in 1989, Molitor was saved from threatened destruction when it was transformed into a luxury hotel in 2014.

In this print I have juxtaposed different epochs of its history. The original "tango" yellow highlights the perspectives of the famous outdoor pool surrounded by two floors of changing cabins.

To make my art prints, my original sketch is transfered onto a lino block which I cut out with special gouges. I hand pull each print one at a time on a press, making each work a unique and original piece of art. Slight differences in each print are inherent in the process.

The print is sold unmounted and unframed. Ships from France in a heavy-duty cardboard art tube using a tracked postal service.
